Terms of Use

La Tavola · Last updated 14 August 2026

By using La Tavola you agree to these terms. If you don't, please don't use the app.

The app

La Tavola is a dinner party planner with recipe management, provided by SailormanSoftware LLC. You may use it for your own personal, non-commercial cooking and entertaining.

La Tavola Premium

La Tavola Premium is an auto-renewing subscription that unlocks recipe photography and transcription, link and text import, wine pairings, and shopping list questions.

Your content

Your recipes are yours. Using La Tavola does not transfer any ownership of them to us, and we make no claim to them.

You are responsible for having the right to use what you put into the app. Photographing a page from a cookbook you own for your own use is ordinary; republishing someone else's copyrighted recipes is not, and it isn't something this app licenses you to do.

What the app can and can't tell you

Transcription, wine pairings, and answers to shopping list questions are produced automatically and can be wrong. Check anything that matters. In particular, La Tavola cannot reliably identify what a dish contains, and nothing it produces should be relied on for dietary or medical decisions. If someone at your table has a serious dietary restriction, verify the ingredients yourself.

Fair use

Please don't attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or resell access to the app, or use it to process content you have no right to.

Availability

The app is provided as it is. Features may change, and services it depends on may be interrupted. We aim to keep everything working but can't guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the app. Nothing here limits any right you have that can't be limited under the law where you live.

Ending access

You can stop using La Tavola at any time by deleting it. We may suspend access in cases of misuse of the kind described above.

Apple's standard terms

Use of apps distributed through the App Store is also governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Where these terms and Apple's conflict, Apple's apply to the licensing of the app itself.

Changes

These terms may be updated. The date at the top will change when they are, and continuing to use the app after that means accepting the revision.
